How can I display values on astacked bar chart and 100% bar chart?

Hello

I'm completely new to Power BI and tried to find an answer online but no luck.

I've got a simple stackefd bar chart and 100% stacked bar chart. How could I display values on the chart?

Thanks

Ewa

Hi, I am working with a stacked bar. I need to add % as well as amount. Is that possible?

Thanks very much, how can I decrease a decimal on the label?

I know all this in Excel, but on Power BI I can't see these options. Thanks 🙂

@ewuchatka

select your measure (column) and in the Modelling ribbon there is Formatting area, there you have decimal places setting.

Yua are welcome.

ey Pavel

Thanks.

Im trying to format the charts in this way but it doesn't seem to be working for all the charts.

A. First af all, I'm using the same measure (e.g. Sales) for two charts:

One is showing a stacked bar chart and the Modelling>Formatting>Decimal place option is working (no decimal places show)

Next to it is a 100% stacked bar chart and the above is not working (two decimal places show).

B. I'm using the InfographicDesigner and the decimal places are staying despite reducing the decimal places here: Modelling>Formatting>Decimal place option

Thanks

@ewuchatka

A. So set Custom option in Data labels to ON and then you can configure decimal places - set 0, as pic below.

B. I tried, but I don't think so there is this option in Inphographics visual.

Excellent, sorry this wasn't very intuitive. Thanks so much for poiting me in the right direction.

Sorry to hear that the inforgraphic designer does not support the formatting of decimal points 😞

I would recommend you to file an Issue or Idea here in community because Inphographics designer was published by Microsoft. And this is really important for users which implement this visual to their solutions.

@ewuchatka

But if it is really important for you to have 0 decimal places in your visual right now, you can use this DAX formula:

YourMeasure = ROUND(SUM(YourTable[YourColumn]);0)

But have in mind, that this measure will be always with 0 decimal places and rounded.

Insted of "YourXXX" fill in your naming.

That's great, I haven't used any measures yet (it is the first day I am using Power BI). How do I apply this measure?

Does it mean in the rest of the charts will have to have MyMeasure rounded or can I just apply the measure to this one particular chart?

One more question - is there a way of placing a label in the centre of the bubble chart (not next to it)? Can't see anything in settings.

Thanks

@ewuchatka

yes, you could use this measure only in the Infographic visual and standard measure, without round function, in other visuals.

Which Bubble chart do you mean? Another custom visual?

Pavel

Hi Pavel

Great, what steps do I have to take to apply this measure?

Bubble plot it's a scatter plot which is already part of Power BI. When I add labels they appear outside the bubble and I would like them to be inside the bubble.

Thanks

Just create new measure on your table a construct DAX formula as recommended.

Unfortunately I think you can't do that - thereis no option in Format pane.
