Hello,
I have longitude and latitude in a data file along with a point number, person's name and a few other attributes related to that point on the map.
I am able to plot each point on the map, but I am trying to add informaiton about each point to the tool tip.
When I put NAME on to tool tip, it's counting it vs. giving me the name associated with that point on the map.
Does the tool tip area always have to be a measure or a number of some sort? Can we not put text fields into a tool tip?
Thanks in advance!
Solved! Go to Solution.
You have to create a MEASURE... (and use it in the tooltips)
Names List Measure = CONCATENATEX ( VALUES(Table[NameColumn]), Table[NameColumn],", ")
This will work for 1 or many names associated with that location!

I'd like to do something similar - can I concatonate two text strings for a visual (and add a linefeed between them)...
i.e.
text 1
text 2
Thanks!! this worked. I'm used to Tableau where you can put anything you want on the tool tip and format it as needed. This was a bit trickier to figure out! thanks so much.
