Hi. I use the non-default visualisation Horizontal Funnel in a desktop version (please see pic 1). The Funnel does not accept renaming of columns. The names of the Funnel bars come from an additional table. Interestingly, even if I want to make a slightest change in the name, say from "offering" to "offered" the whole Funnel disapears and throws an error (please see pic 2). I do not change anything else, but the name of the column. One last hint: if I return the name to "offering" again, the error disapears and the Funnel is again back. It looks like it accepets only the firstly written version, but this should not be the case: if I make a typo in the first naming, I would expect it to let me change the names of the bars. This seems as a bug, but I am not sure. Thanks for the ideas!
Hi @jeanilieski ,
Did you change only the values in the Dim table and ignore the ones in the Fact table?
If so, change it to be consistent and make sure that the Key in the Dim table contains all the unique values in all the Fact tables and is not null.
Best Regards,
Gao

How to get your questions answered quickly -- How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum -- China Power BI User Group
Thanks you for your support you both! Actually there is no Dim and Fact tables, or more precisely they do not have active relationship. I try to rename a bar in one table by writing directly in the PowerQuery table and then use a Switch DAX statement to relate to the fact table.
Using other visualisation type is not an option for me since the endusers use the pipeline chart for very long and they are used to it. I need ot find a solution to rename the columns within this chart. Additional note: I use bookmarks on the page and each time I rename a column I update the bookmark, so this could not be the reason why the renameding doe snot appear. Thank you once again!
Here are a few suggestions you can try to troubleshoot or work around the issue:
Check Data Types and Formatting: Ensure that the data types and formatting of the column you're renaming are compatible with the Horizontal Funnel visualization. Sometimes, changing the column name may inadvertently affect the data type or formatting, causing issues with the visualization.
Review Power BI Desktop Updates: Check if there are any updates available for Power BI Desktop. Microsoft regularly releases updates and bug fixes for Power BI, so installing the latest version may resolve the issue if it's a known bug.
Alternative Visualizations: If the issue persists and you're unable to resolve it, consider using alternative visualizations that offer similar functionality to the Horizontal Funnel. There are several other visualizations available in Power BI that can effectively represent funnel data, such as the Stacked Column Chart or the Waterfall Chart.
