Highlight first instance

Hi all,

How can I highlight the first instance 'Candidate Ref' appears?

A new column denoting the earliest date Candidate Ref appears.

Hi, @HenryJS

According to your description, I can roughly understand your requirement, do you mean that you want to create a new column to get the first date that the Candidate Ref appears for each Candidate Ref, you can try this calculated column:

First date =

CALCULATE(MIN('Table'[Application Date]),FILTER(ALL('Table'),[Candidate Ref]=EARLIER('Table'[Candidate Ref])))

And you can get what you want, like this:

You can download my test pbix file below

If this result is not what you want, you can post some sample data(without sensitive data) and your expected result.

@HenryJS , Create a color measure like this and use that in conditional formatting using field value option

measure =
var _min = calculate(min(Table[application Date]), filter(allselected(Table), table[candidate_ID] = max(table[candidate_ID])))
return
if(max(table[candidate_ID]) =_min, "red", "white")

@amitchandak  sorry I meant a new column which denotes the first instance, so a 1 if it is the first instance
