Hierarchy problem

Hi all,

I have a dataset that contains a hierarchy of media sites with its corresponding monthly measurement, to solve it use the PATH, LOOKUPVALUE, PATHITEM and ISINSCOPE functions, for a month I have no problems and it works perfect.

The problem is that every month the hierarchy changes, there are children who change parents, new levels or new parents, is there a way to make a different hierarchy for each month? or some alternative?

Thanks in advance!

@ainsua77 to clarify, it is column changes that are part of the hierarchy or the data in the column changes, I assume it is the data and in that case, it should work but if columns are changing then it is a bigger/different problem.

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

Hello @parry2k ,

The information changes month by month in data, not in structure, this is an example of raw data:

Screenshot_1.png

As you can see, I have the webid fields and parent_id that generate the parent-child ratio in up to 5 levels.

What happens in the month to month, for example the site "ToyTownKids " YouTube" today is the son of "YOUTUBE.COM", over time you can keep the parent, you can create an intermediate level or you can change the father, then when I build the parent-to-child relationship for a month it works perfect, but when I take more than a month I meet children with more than one parent or similar things and the hierarchy fails.

Best regards
