Hierarchy of calculated measures

Hi everyone,

I have a table in my Power BI Desktop with a lot of calculated measures I have created.  Many of them have some kind of relation, so it would be really helpful if there is a possibility to create some Hierarchies in the table that group the related measures.

Is this posible?

Thanks a lot!

What do you mean "have relation between measures"?

In Power BI Desktop, it's not possible to create a hierarchy/folder to group measures. You should create hierarchy on dimension members and only measure for corresponding fact data which can be sliced by the hierarchy. For example, you can create a calendar hierarchy like "Year->Quarter->Month->Date" to slice a Sales measure.

Is this can be achieved on 2023?

You can group measures in specific tables.

1.- Create a blank query in the query editor.

2.- Rename it to something that makes sense to you like "Measures for Accounts" or "Average Measures"

3.- Move the measures to the corresponding tables by changing their Home Table in the modeling tab in Power BI Desktop.

That doesn't make measures hierarchies, but will let you group them in meaningful tables. Hope it helps.

That will not help you in using the group as some sort of group in the vizualisation, not?
