Afternoon all
I'm hoping someone could please help me with the below
I have created a matrix with the following
Rows
Category 1 - level 1
Category 2 - level 2
Name - level 3
No Columns
Values
Difference calculations
The example below shows each top level category and under customer because there is no level 2 its inserting a blank row. Which in theory is correct, but I could really do with filtering out that row. I cannot figure out how top do this. I've tried adding a case statement to my SQL, creating a PBI index but nothing working
Can someone please advise if this is even possible. And apologies for the 3 year old scribbles.
Kind regards
Karen
Hi @KarenFingerhut ,
Refer to the following blog about adding or removing blank rows in the Power BI Matrix visual object.

Thank you for getting back to me (as usual 😊) LOL sorry I knew my explanation wasn't very good.
So in my matrix not every KPI has a level 2 category. But the matrix wants to add a blank row in
Customer (level 1)
No level 2 so PBI auto puts in a blank row
Complaints (level 3)
Days (level 3)
Rent(level 3)
Compliance (level 1)
Stat Compliance (level 2)
Gas (level 3)
Electric (level 3)
Maintenance (level 3)
I want to be able to filter out the blank row where there is no level 2 but when I try and create a statement - if level 2 is blank then 1 else 0, to enable a filter, it isn't even recognising that row where there are blanks.
Does that make more sense.
Kind regards
Karen
@KarenFingerhut , Not very clear. Refer if these can help

The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
Appreciate your Kudos.
HI @amitchandak
Actually this might explain better if I show you part of my my actual matrix
The issue I am having is that in the customer section there is no data for level 2, so because of this, and rightly so, PBI is inserting a blank row. What I want to be able to do is remove that blank row so everything moves up. Does that makse sense?
Kind regards
Karen
