Hiding column in Table Visualization - How to do this
Hi all - i am in a conundrum where i am unable to hide a column on a table visual and want to know if there is a workaround. To be clear, i have tried every other option available on the forum. Basically, i have a table that i want to display all rows (e.g. 5 rows), but since 4 of those rows are blanks, Power BI decides to think it's smart and de-duplicate the rows in the Table visual (resulting in only 2 rows - one with a name and one without). As far as i checked, there was no way to fix this, so i did the workaround and adding an index column to get all the rows. Then, i tried to hide the "index" column but you cannot drag it till it disappears! There is still a part of the column which is visible. Now i am adding a line shape to cover it and it seemed to work. However, when i exported it to PDF, it sometimes shows extra part of the "hidden" column because of scaling? I don't know, but this is driving me crazy since it seems like such a simple requirement and there is no straightforward solution.
Does anyone know a trick or solution to get to where i need? The table i am trying to display is below.

- Yeah, I agree that it is annoying. It really mucks up the visualization when you have to resort to this sort of thing. I haven't found a foolproof method yet.
Can you give me a sense of your source data so that I can understand why you have duplicates and why you want them displayed?
You could always do this Column = [Index] & [Name] to make the names unique? Anonymous ,
I can reproduce this, actually the index can't be hidden totally. This is by design, I would suggest you submit your idea here or vote for this existed idea.
