I am following this excellent guide here on creating a P&L report. https://exceleratorbi.com.au/build-a-pl-with-power-bi/
And wondering if it is possibly to hide an empty 'SubHeader'. In my P&L format I am breaking our labor down into a 2nd subheading. But this is only used for the Labor. For the other groups can you hide an unused row/header? I tried to explain here below in this image and trying to get rid of the empty 'Sub header 2"

Hi @ptmuldoon
Your subheading doesn’t have a name but isn’t empty value. If empty, then it will be automatically removed from matrix visual.
To address this, you can assign a meaningful name using Power Query by replacing the empty value with a name. Alternatively, you can remove such categories using the basic filter option. If you don’t want any category, such as an empty name, simply check all and uncheck the desired one. This will hide all elements under this subheader. See the image below:
Hope this helps!!

That empty subheader is part of a hierarchy of columns in the context of your matrix viz. Removing that will remove the rows below it as well as they will not be automatically moved to where the empty subheader is. Your table probably looks like this:
If you remove blank SubCategory2, you will also remove the related rows from the other columns. If you don't want blank, either you fix that from the source or replace that with another value using M or a custom column that assigns a value to it relative to the values in the other columns.
