Help with displaying values as percentages

Hi all,

I hope someone can assist with my query.

I have the below visual:

DRJ1994_0-1655110936005.png

The 49,665 should be as a percentage of the 1.5 million number which is closer to 3.3%. What is currently happening is the visual is combining the 2 data sets to add up to 100%, when what should be happening is the 1.5 million number should be 100%, and the 49,665 should be a percentage of that.

Does anybody have any ideas how I may be able to fix this please?

I hope the above makes sense but if you need any further info please let me know.

Thanks,

DRJ.

If you will have a measure that just count the hours that wasn't lost (total - lost) and put that instead then the total of the pie will be thr total hours. This is the best way in case you want to use a pie chart that will make sense. WDYT?

@DRJ1994 are you sure you want to show it in a pie chart  + numbers that won't add app to 100%?
If you put it in a matrix visual then you just need to create the measures you want.
Anyway, can you share your pbix or a sample of it? The result depends on how your data is structured.

Thanks for your reply. I was also questioning whether a pie chart was appropriate, but i do have a matrix on the same page which shows hours by team and hours lost to sickness, this also has a measure in place to calculate % percentage of hours lost.

Screenshot below shows the whole page (without the team names for any data protection issues). What I wanted to achieve with the pie chart though is just a quick visual that shows the overall figures across the whole department.

Thanks,

This seems to have sorted it - thanks so much.
