I'm struggling to build a matrix and think I'm missing something simple. I'm pulling monthly data, I have Feb. Mar. Apr. but only want to show Apr. and the year to date totals. Simply filter out the months I don't want to see removes them from the total. How do I remove the months I don't want to see but keep their totals?
Thank you advance!
James

Great! For the cumulative total to reset, you can use the TOTALYTD() DAX function. Here's a link to the updated .pbix with both the cumulative and ytd measures. I have updated the data model to include a proper date dimension.
Hi James,
It looks like you need to create a cumulative total DAX measure. Here's a sample .pbix file.
I am more than pleased, this got me 95% there! My next question; how do I get that FY24 Cumulative Total to only pull up through FY25 current month rather than full year?

Thanks for this! I think it works & gives me what I need. I can't confirm as it has identified an issue in my source data. Once I get that corrected, I believe this will give me exactly what I'm looking for. SO much appreciated, thank you!!!
Hi @Fthrs_Analytics ,thanks for the quick reply.
Hi @JLCote828 ,
I don't quite understand your question. Is ' FY25 current month' April? Are you trying to calculate the total from January 2024 to April 2025? Is it possible to provide simple data and show the expected results as a picture.
Hello -
Here's a shot of what I'm trying to get to:
I want to be able to compare "apples to apples" so, in this instance, since I have Feb-Apr FY25, I want to compare it to Feb-Apr FY24, when I get May data, I'll want to compare Feb-May, etc.
The formula as written works perfectly for the FY25 data, but is pulling all of FY24 data rather than just Feb-Apr.
Does that help?
Excellent, thank you, I'll give it a shot & let you know! Much appreciated, thank you!
