Help needed in transforming data in Power Query

I have this data in Excel. when comes to Power BI, it comes as below screenshot. We can modify data in Excel as separate rows, but it has huge data and so much manual work. Is there anyway in power query to separate the rows and get IP address and server filled in all relavent rows?

Hello @SVADDE21

Select the IP Address column → go to the top menu and click:

Transform → Fill → Down.

Do the same for the Server column:

Select Server → Transform → Fill → Down.

Hi @SVADDE21 ,

You can totally do this in Power Query using the Fill Down feature. Here’s how:

  1. In Power Query, select the column that contains your product names.
  2. Go to the Transform tab and click Fill > Down.
    • This will copy the product name from the row above into any blank rows below it—until a new product name appears.
  3. Now, each row will have the correct product name filled in, and you can use that for grouping, filtering, or analysis.

If you want to take it further and create a new column that flags the “header” rows (the ones that originally had the product name), you can do something like:

= Table.AddColumn(PreviousStep, "IsHeader", each if [Product] = [OriginalColumn] then "Yes" else "No")

Let me know if you need help with the exact M code—happy to help!
