Help finding top 12 issues in Power BI

Hi,

can you help? How do I filter out the top 12 issues using a matrix in Power BI

First column is product - I only want to show the top 12 products by total issue number.

thanks

  • Hi Anonymous
can you clarify whether you want to show top 12 products or top 12 issues.
you can use Top N filter from the filter pane.
    1) select matrix
    2) Open filter pane
    3) In Product filed , select filter type to Top N and in box below enter 12 and
in by value section drag total issue number count and hit the apply button.

Steps to Filter Top 12 Products by Total Issues in a Matrix:

    1. Select the Matrix visual in your Power BI report.
    2. Go to the "Filters" pane (on the right-hand side).
    3. Locate the field that represents your products (the first column in your matrix).
    4. Drag this field into the "Filters on this visual" section.
    5. Click on the filter dropdown and select "Top N".
    6. In the Top N settings:
      • Select "Top".
      • Enter 12 as the number of items.
      • Under "By value," drag the Total Issues (Total column) field.
      • Set the aggregation to Sum.
    7. Click Apply filter.

If this helps, I would appreciate your KUDOS!
