Help creating an AutoML (Machine Learning Model) on Power BI Apps

Hi All,

I'm working on the table below:

Table.png

I'm trying to predict the values for the year 2022. However I'm not sure if the table should have been unpivotted first.

Also, when I apply the machine learning model I am confronted with the following options:

Select a column to predict.png

Select the data your model should study.png

I am really not sure which options to select. I could be setting this model up the wrong way I am not entirely sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi @HamidBee ,

Based on your description, I think you can refer to the tutorial given in the official documentation below. Hope it will help you.

Hi @v-henryk-mstf,

I honsetly used this tutorial when I first began. Unfortunately this tutorial wouldn't be entirely the same for me as I would be using a regression model. In this tutorial they show one how to use a binary model. So the way the data is set up wouldn't be the same. I've yet to see an example or explanation where someone is using a regression model here. Could you please provide a step by step guide on how I could use a regression model via AutoML?

Thank you

@HamidBee , I think you should unpivot first in power query

Okay, once I unpivot the data. What do I select for the outcome column and data to study fields?
