Help Needed: Adding Dynamic Sr. No. Column in Power BI Table Visual

Hi All,

I’m trying to add a Sr. No. (Serial Number) column to a table visual in Power BI that updates dynamically based on user-applied filters.

Could you please suggest how this can be achieved?

Hello @AnkitaaMishra

Try this DAX measure

Sr No =

RANKX(

    ALLSELECTED('YourTableName'),

    SELECTEDVALUE('YourTableName'[SomeColumnToSortBy]),

    ,

    ASC,

    DENSE

)

Thanks for your response. I had already tried the ChatGPT solution, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working in my case.

Would appreciate if you could suggest any alternate approach.
