Hello, I've been utilizing Power BI for about a year now, mainly leveraging the Azure Map function. I've developed a template that processes data to generate map visuals. However, I've recently encountered an issue where my country-filled maps using Azure Maps aren't displaying any data. Surprisingly, switching back to the old Bing Maps resolves the problem. Initially, I suspected it might be a template issue, but even with a simple table featuring countries and corresponding values, Power BI using Azure Maps fails to generate any output. It seems that Azure Maps isn't recognizing the countries. Does anyone have insights into what might be causing this issue?
Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I have Azure maps that were working in the service up until about a month or two ago and can't figure out why they stopped. It only affected filled/bubble maps based on county and state. GPS coordinates work fine. Also, when I open the same report in PBI Desktop, it also works perfectly.
Sorry, I am still having the same issue. I literally had to change my template to do a work around. So now my bubble maps dont do any fills. I suspect it is an update in mircosoft office that has cause Azure to stop this functionaility. Unfortunately, I am not sure why. One idea that I didn't do is if you reinstall powerbi. Maybe that will work. Sorry for not being more helpful.
Thanks for getting back to me. So this is when I use the bing map. Bu
But when i try to use the azure map,
Nothing gets populated. What i notice is if i have the lat/long Azure works fine. It is when i try only country without any co-ordinates, azure does not work.
Hi @wmyeo ,
Please check if the data category of the Country field is country.
And the Bubble layer under the Format pane is not being turned off.
Attached is my test file.

Hi @wmyeo ,
I tested it and everything worked. Is there any error message returned?
1. Have you checked if Azure Maps is enabled for your organization in the Power BI settings? Ensure that Azure Maps is correctly enabled for your organization. There's a setting in the Power BI admin portal that controls the use of Azure Maps.
