Hi,
I have 3 tables related to Student. You can see the model in the attachment.
All I want to show is show Student ID in the very first column from the first table(Dim Table)
Then Column2 from Table 2 (Fact Table) (default aggregation : sum)
Then Column3 from Table 3 (Fact Table) (default aggregation : sum)
Whenever I try to do this, I get wierd errors. Not sure how I can resolve the same.
Changing relationships to m:m doesn't look like a good solution

Your relationships are wrong in both tables. You'll understand from the screenshot
As far as I'm concern, I agree on your data model. It's inevitable to run into issues of filter propagation, say, when you slice Donation[Year], the filter can't propagate to 'Student Subject' table in a natural way. The solution I recommend is to make the best of Expanded Table.

| Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
Expanded tables have been confusing to me. Can you explain how I can make use of in this case.
