HELP! Slicer help to filter to certain week days!

Hello! I am trying to create a filter that can filter the table to show values for the previous pay period (sunday - saturday), and essentially be able to select Previous Pay Period = Yes / No, and the table change accordingly.

I cannot seem to find a good way to get the table to filter to the previous dates of Sunday - Saturday, no matter what day in the following week you look at it.

i.e. If I look at the data today (8/26/22), and set the "Previous Pay Period" slicer to YES, the table would show the data for Sun (8/14) - Sat (8/20)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Build a Date dimension, with Calendar Week as one of the columns. Then do a dynamic Weeks Back based on DATEDIFF(Now(), [Date], WEEKS). Then filter for [Weeks Back] = 1 (or 2 or whatever).

Brute force methodology. It's how we old timers got stuff done before these fancy new features like Relative Date Slicer.

When I started programming, all we had were 1's and 0's, and the 1's were really expensive!

It does, but relative date slicers will start on either today, or the previous day. I am wanting to start more than 2 days prior.
