Guided Tour

I'm new to PowerBI. When I logged in today, there was a message about seeing what's new so I accepted to follow the guided tour. The first step demonstrated how to collapse a panel. The message pointed at where to click, so I clicked on it. The panel collapsed as expected, but the guided tour disappeared. I can't find how to turn the guided tour back on again.

So two things I'd expect here: First, the guided tour should stay active as the user clicks on the things it points out. Second, there should be a way to activate guided tours easily. Is there a way to find the guided tours again?

I explored the help menu and it looks like the menu is duplicated, but only half the links work (It's possible a restart will fix this, but I was in the middle of creating this post). There's loads of documentation that I'll explore, but I like guided tours.

Thanks!

Sarah

Good deal - I'll submit feedback. But I was also curious if I was missing where to find the existing guided tours. Maybe it's there and I'm not seeing it?

Hi @shlipsey ,

Does your guided tour mean this one?

If you want to go back to this Welcome pane again without restarting another desktop, you can click the "Get Started" option in File.

I'm not sure how to get back to that welcome pane. But the guided tour wasn't a video tutorial or anything. It was little pop-up messages that appeared within the app. It might have been about navigation? It did start with how to collapse a panel. But it wasn't on a separate training page or anything. I'm sure I'll be able to learn plenty from the resources that are out there, though. I don't want to keep making you dig around looking for it.
I guess just stash the idea aside for the future - guided tours that are easy to find and let you complete tasks as you go through the tour.

Thanks!
