Hi,
My FACT TABLE has got a column 'Card Number',
4 'Card numbers' that are already grouped are: 'Remote start', 'gf-webpay', 'vc-WebPay' and 'Engineer'.
The issue is with million of the ones as in example shown below:
613657
534798
CYV-0011
TGFC7689
A89765
CVS785345
FL77564DF
How do I put all of these random numbers in one group or a bucket?
Thank you in advance.
Best,
J
@Anonymous , You need to create a column for that
like static-segmentation
https://www.daxpatterns.com/static-segmentation/
https://www.poweredsolutions.co/2020/01/11/dax-vs-power-query-static-segmentation-in-power-bi-dax-power-query/
Thank you amitchandak,
I am afraid the solution will not help my problem.
I must group items from within one column only.
Within the column there are 3 groups there already.
The column is million rows long.
In my column: 'Card number'
It has got millions of various CC numbers:
CC-002
CC-00024
CC-00089787
...etc. All these various CC numbers need to be grouped together.
Next Group:
Webpay1
Webpay2
VCWebpay
These three also need to be grouped.
Last but not least I have millions of rows in that column that are all very different. These are members number, e.g.:
CP678
B89789
EC-uiu-UK
KM8987ND7
How do I approach this please?
Thank you,
J
