Group column chart axis date by month

Hi all,   I'm looking to create a new bar chart. The data I'm plotting tracks certain counts by date. Wihtin the chart, however, I want it grouped by month.   I already looked at posts like... ...

    Does your data source have a calendar table? If not then you need to convert from Live to Direct Query and add the Month column manually.
