Hi,
I would like to make a graph from this data. I want to use the type as the selection, but it doesn't work if i select it due to the data structure. I have quite a lot of data, but this is a sample data. How can i make a graph that would work with the selection of the "type"? Thanks in advance.
| Name | in | out | type |
| A | 2 | n/a | |
| A | 3 | n/a | |
| A | 5 | n/a | |
| A | 1 | TR | |
| A | 1 | TR | |
| A | 1 | AD |
Please provide a more detailed explanation of what you are aiming to achieve. What have you tried and where are you stuck?
When I don't select anything, the graph is right. the line shows 3 and the bar shows 10. If i select the TR in the slicer, I want to see the line as 2. Similarly if i select "AD" in the slicer, the line should show 1. However, if i select any of these options, the graph doesn't show the data.
Use explicit measures ( and the "+0" trick if needed) or replace the nulls in your source data with 0
Thanks for the example. When I select TR or AD, the bar is disappearing in the graph. I want the bar and line stays when the type is selected.
In these cases the bar value is zero. The bar is correctly displaying nothing. What were you expecting?
I want to see the "IN" value in the graph in the bar. I want to see the out value depending on the selection of the type. For example if I select AD type, the bar should show 10 as the in value and the line should be 1 as the out value is only one case. I want to show in and out values in graph. the selection of the type should change depending on the selection of the type.
Does that mean it would always show 10 as the IN value?
Yes
