Graph with irregular behavior

Hello everyone,

In the graph, you can see that I have two metrics: one is total tickets, and the other is resolved tickets. I have removed the interactions, as the graph is displayed by months.

I am using the month from the `date_entered` column of the tickets table. Ideally, I would use the `MonthName` column from the calendar table, but when I do this (as you can see), the month names are blank.

Both tables are properly related—or at least, I think they are.

I have noticed that nothing I try to do with the calendar table is working.

Here is the table declaration so you can check if I’m doing something wrong.

Thanks for reading this message and for your help.

Hi,

Looks like the Date only column of the tickets table has a time stamp.  In Power Query, ensure that the data type of that column is Date.

Hello @Ashish_Mathur

That was the problem.

The data type was text, so I changed it and voilà!

How ever, I have another glitch. The order of the months is wrong.

Any advice?

Thank you again,

You are welcome.  In the Calendar table, sort the Month name column by the Month number column.  To te visual, drag Month name from the Calendar Table.  Just search for YouTube videos on sorting months in PowerBI

Hi @ajdm2007 ,

This situation may occur when a corresponding record cannot be found between one table and many table. Could you check it?
