Graph's legends

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my graph that the legends are appearing cutted. Like, it appears the text + "..." , it doesn't matter the position I put it continues the same

Does anyone know how to solve?

Thanks !

Hi @Anonymous

There are a few things you could try.

1. Make your visual wider

2. Under Formatting (paint roller) select Legend >Text size.  Reduce text size to smallest

3. Display the legend at the top or bottom instead.  Go to Formatting > Legend > Position.  (resize as needed)

I tried this with my own doughnut, added a legend with really long text....and I was able to get it all to fit. If this still doesn't work, write back.  I have one more idea.

Hello @Anonymous

Thanks for the ideas but none of this solved the issue...

I need something like an "enter" that would put the text that it being cutten in the next line
Do you have any other solution??

Hi @Anonymous ,

At some point, widening your visual will allow all the text to fit.  So I'm guessing that there just isn't room enough for this?

If this is the case, have you tried resizing the report canvas using the View menu and/or the Page size settings?

If those don't work, can you shorten the length of the legend text? You can do this in Power BI or in the dataset itself. Or, you could create a new column and create shorter names or IDs for the Legend and then next to the doughnut chart, add a table or slicer that lists the shorter and longer version of the text.

That's all I got 🙂

Take care,

HI @Anonymous,

It seems like your legend is too long to display, so power bi hides part of the text string on the graph.
I check the donut visual but not found any 'word warp' option that allows displaying a long string on legend, perhaps you can submit an idea for this requirement.
