Graph's changing as you select different locations on Map (ESRI)

Hi Guys,

Im going to try my best to explain this i am really looking for some help.  Im new to Power BI and im trying to work out how to input some data and link the company name (which is the same in different sheets) together so that when i click on a location on the map the graphs then change to the results of the company.  For example i would like to click on Company A on the Map and then the graph to the side shows the sales from 2012 to 2018.  However when try and do this it just inputs the graph with all of the companies and the results.  I am trying to make it so only the company’s results that i click on populate the graph.  I have tried to join the relationship between the company name in each sheet however i am getting this error.

So this is how the data is coming up at the moment and when i click on the location of the map the graph does not change.

I am trying to get it so when i click on the location on the map the data in the graph then changes to just shows for example the sales for that company over the last few years.

For example (sorry about the writing but i would like the graph to change and only show sales for the selected company)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@brettnelson,

The Pop-up that comes when you try to join the tables is because both the tables have multiple entries of same company name in the column.

But Power BI expects atleast one of the column to be unique while joining. i.e. There is no direct Many to Many relationship in Power BI

To solve this introduce a Bridge table between the tables that you want to join. The Screenshot for the same is given below

Relationship between tables through a bridge tableRelationship between tables through a bridge table

 In the above case, both Table 1 and Table 2 have multiple occurences of same date in the Date Column and hence cannot be joined directly. So a new table Table 1(2) is introduced between them.

Table 1(2) is a bridge table that has only the unique dates from Table 1 and the tables are joined using it.

Note: The Cross filtering direction (single/ both) should be changed as per your need

Thank you so much!!!

i will give that a try now!

Hi @brettnelson,

Did you solve it? Can you share the answer or mark the proper answer as a solution please?
