Hello,
My model has one table AA which is imported, one table BB which comes by Direct Query. The query has two parameters.
Table AA is represented as a table visual with n rows and 3 columns A, B, C.
When the user selects one cell of a particular row (say row 5), I want to grab the correspondent values in columns B and C and assign that values to two parameters.
I will use those two parameters to run a query and update my dataset in Direct Query.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Hi @daXtreme,
I realised I can 'capture' the value of the cell the user has selected by SELECTEDVALUE function.
I wish I could set parameter P1 value equal to the selected value. In that way, I'll be able to run the query:
let
filterquery="SELECT * FROM TABLEXX WHERE COLUMNX = '" & Number.ToText(P1) & "'",
Origine = Sql.Database("MY SQL SERVER", "MY DB", [Query=filterquery])
in
Origine
Thanks for helping,
As far as I know, you cannot do that. What does it mean "update my dataset in DQ" in this scenario?
