Hi everyone,
it seems like the Google Analytics API might be not available. When I try to refresh my Power BI project, I get the following name resolution error:
“An error occurred while establishing a connection.
Details: 'GoogleAnalytics failed to get a response: The remote name could not be resolved: 'analyticsadmin.googleapis.com'.”
When I open the domain directly in my browser, it returns a 404. The same happens when I try to create a new connection to Google Analytics (v2.0) in Power BI — even when testing from different networks/devices.
https://www.googleapis.com/
404. That’s an error.
The requested URL / was not found on this server. That’s all we know.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Best,
Erik

Hello The Google Analytics API analyticsadmin.googleapis.com appears to be down or temporarily unavailable, causing Power BI refresh and connection errors. It’s likely an outage or service update on Google’s side. You can monitor the status here: https://status.cloud.google.com/
