Hi Friends,

I am getting error while connecting to SQL data source using both import or direct query , I want to rule out whether I am using right input values or some other permission issue as I can directly connect from SQL server with same credentials

Steps tried :
I have used hostname: port from SQL server connection as value for Server field in power bi
I have also used only hostname as value for Server field in power bi

Can you guys share your exp if you are kind . .so that I can reach out to right team or rectify if I am not doing it the right way

Hi @dhrub

What version of PBI Desktop are you using?  Make sure you are up to date with the latest version.  There's a known issue connectng to SQL Server with certain PBID versions

@dhrub , Have you used the Database option on next screen if you do want to use windows authentication?

On the above one you are showing Oracle connection details. But in power Bi you trying for SQL server ?
