Getting error from power bi desktop while try to create relationship

 

Hi,

I was taken dim date table from one dataset and other two tables get from another dataset .

I can create relationship with one table but can't able to create relationship with another table . i was getting werror while i try to create relationship.

Please let us know if have answer.

Hi @Powerbidev1,

 

The DirectQuery table can only touch 1 active relationship at a time. This is considered a chained dataset. You can link to another table and then link back to your date table but you can't link it together directly.

 

An alternative is to make your Date table an import and then link the two together.

Thanks for response.

I have created date table from powerbi desktop and then tried to make relationship but not working , getting same error . 

Can you please give me some other solution. thanks

You can import all your data using the AAS connection and then build your relationships in that manner.
