I have searched but still looking for a resource (hopefully with a few examples) on using Power Query in Power BI Query Custom Columns:

Power Query Custom Column steps:
In Power BI → Transform Data → Power Query Editor.
Add Column → Custom Column.
Write an M formula, e.g.:
[Units] * [Unit Price]
Click OK → new column created.
Close & Apply to load back to Power BI.
Use it for calculations, categorizing, text splits, date parts, etc.
