Hi Team,
Good Day,
I am trying to connect Google BigQuery from MS Power BI Desktop using Service Account login, We have assigned Project ID, Service Account Email and Service Acocunt JSON file content.
We could not able to connect and getting following error,
Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DSI] An error occurred while attempting to retrieve the error message for key 'DSSslErrorMessage' with message parameters ['unable to get local issuer certificate'] and component ID 110: Message not found in file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Desktop\bin\ODBC Drivers\Simba Google BigQuery ODBC Driver\en-US\DSMessages.xml""
Kindly advise how to resolve the issue and suggest what step missed while connecting Google BigQuery.
Thanks
M. Vijay Antony
Hi @VijayAntonyM,
Here is a thread were somebody experience the same issue and it was caused by their firewall. They managed to fix it by adding 'googleapis.com' to their firewall exclusion/allowed list:
Do you guys have a firewall as well and does that allow the google apis? Might be good to double check if you are experiencing the same thing.
HI,
Could you pleaase advise where the exact place we need to add the google apis?
Because i already added the same thing in .JSON content file as below,
please help
thanks
M. Vijay Antony
A firewall is normally something your (local) IT department manages.
I would first suggest to contact them and double check if you have any firewall setup which might block accessing the Google API's on the device you are using to create this Power BI desktop configuration.
