Get the sum of values for rows based on values from two columns

Hi Community,

I am wanting to get these values using DAX; please see definitions below:

Total Points in Area = sum of Rating Numeric, filter on respondent, filter on area sort

Points Possible = sum of Area sort, filter on characteristicSupport.JPG

Hi @Anonymous

If you are looking to obtain the same results as in the snapshot, if not please reiterate the question.

Total Points in Area =
CALCULATE(
    SUM(YourTable[Rating Numeric]),
    ALLEXCEPT(YourTable, YourTable[Respondent], YourTable[Area Sort])
)
Points Possible =
CALCULATE(
    SUM(YourTable[Area Sort]),
    ALLEXCEPT(YourTable, YourTable[Characteristic])
)

Mariusz
