Gateway setup on cloud

Hi,

 

I need one info, Can we setup the powerBI gateway on cloud or do we need server for that?

Hi @kthakur

 

You will need a server (best option) or at least a device that stay turned to manage the gateway

 

If your question was "Do I need a gateway is my datasource is cloud ?" If it comes from sharepoint online, or something that's public, you don't need a gateway.
