Hello,
I'm actually looking up to how integrate GCP billing data into PowerBI. So, I connect the billing data from project to a BigQuery, I connect my PowerBI to BigQuery with the billing data.
When I have a look into the data in PBI, it just impossible to extract data from columns. Per example, in "credits" I have
{"v":[{"v":{"f":[{"v":"94c90f86-954d-45f4-9d6e-6ed01fcec5aa"},{"v":"-0.000001"},{"v":null},{"v":"94c90f86-954d-45f4-9d6e-6ed01fcec5aa"},{"v":"PROMOTION"}]}}]}
I have no idea the matching of these values with the kind of data. But, when I go through Data Studio from Google, the kind of data appear, I have 5 data regarding credits, it could match the 5 fives I got in PBI.
I think, data from Google are missing...
Is there anyone here who work on this topic and wants to share his experience with me ?
Regards
Hi, I have the same problem.
About change billing project id don´t resolved for me.
I will open a ticket about this case for me.
In my case I had to do a split based on the characters for each column analyzing the bigquery schema, but that took a lot of steps and the data update flow hits the limit of the pro version (dataflow refresh limit 2 hours) and I end up having an error and not updating the data. I had to remove unused columns, among others, but it worries me because I have an error every 5 days, etc.
I say this because I also load much larger Autonomous DW (OCI) data and I don't suffer from refresh.
I realized that there is no way to transform this column into json and try to convert it into a table or somehow load the data correctly.
It can be noticed that with split I explored the divisor character because for each column you can have two or more values, being name and key value..
look after this job (long time kkk)
Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I think we didn't understood each other. It is not a connection or access problem.
I have access to my project who is the repository for billing. But, when i go through PBI, the value for column SERVICE => {"v":{"f":[{"v":"6F81-5844-456A"},{"v":"Compute Engine"}]}}" is ununderstandable !!!
Is there a table for that ? When I go through Google Data Studio, seems the value is decomposed as shown in my first example.
To resume, I can connect to my billing data from GCP Big Query, but I can't use the value !
Regards.
Hi @cgeorgeot ,
Seems a bit tricky, what exactly do you mean by Google data loss? Are you making sure that the billing data is connected to BigQuery?
You can refer to the following document about how powerbi desktop connects to data in big query.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and related operation screenshoots. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry
