Hi @KS_B ,
1. Try updating your system & installing the latest Powerbi Desktop.
Download Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center
2. Clear Cache: Your PowerBI desktop might have more cache memory. You can clear the cache and then try again.
3. Remove Unnecessary Columns: Try to remove any unnecessary column in Edit Queries before importing in the data model.
4. Allocate More Memory: Try to allocate more memory in the Data Load tab. From Power BI dashboard, open Option > Data Load. Now increase the maximum allowed memory.
5. Increase Computer Memory: One of the ways to fix memory allocation failure error in Power BI is to increase the memory capacity of the computer. You can do this by adding more RAM to your computer or upgrading to a computer with a higher memory capacity. Also, you can fix this error by closing other applications and processes to free up memory for Power BI.
6. Optimize Your Data Model: If your data model is too complex or contains unnecessary data, it can put a strain on your system resources and cause the application to crash². To optimize your data model, start by removing any unnecessary columns or tables. You can also try splitting large tables into smaller ones or using filters to limit the amount of data that is loaded into memory.
7. Use a 64-bit version of Power BI: If you are using a 32-bit version of Power BI, you may want to switch to the 64-bit version which can access more memory.
Please feel free to contact me if the problem remains unresolved.
Best Regards,
Gao
