Formatting of measures not persisting when publishing to service

I am using the new preview ability to write reports using a publisged online dataset as my data source.

When I create a measure and format it as a Percent in the desktop it looks fine.

When I publish the report to the Service , the reoprt looses the formatting and displays as a decimal (0.50 instead of 50%).

Desktop Version: 2.46.4732.581 64-bit (May 2017)
