Formatting based on Parameter

Hello all,

I need to format numeric values based on the user choice of Parameter (dot or comma) and format those values:

Example:
If Parameter dot then 325.12
If Parameter comma the 325,12

Thanks in advance

@TCordeiro ,

Try using FORMAT() and IF() If parameter =" ." then FORMAT (325.00) Else FORMAT(325,00).

If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.

Hello @Nathaniel_C thanks for the suggestion, but what I'm trying to do is a dynamic way, the 325 was only and example, I want to pass a number type column to DAX and then format it based on the parameter.

Do you have any idea how can that be made?

Thanks in advance.

Tiago

Hi @TCordeiro ,

Are you doing this in Power Query which uses the M lanquage, or doing this in Power BI using DAX.  Would you be able to give us an example? And of output? Where does the parameter come from?

Let us know,

Nathaniel
