I have a measure defined (definition below) and thar presents different values depending on a selection of a Type table.
I want to format the measure as whole number of percentage depending on the selected type
SalesMeasure = VAR m = SELECTEDVALUE('Type'[Actual]) return switch(m,"Actual",Measure[Sales],"ACT %",Measure[Sales YoY%])

When using a swtich measure with several types of formats it returns string values has you notice in this case you need to change your measure to something similar to this:
SalesMeasure =
VAR m =
SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Type'[Actual] )
RETURN
SWITCH (
m,
"Actual", FORMAT ( Measure[Sales], "General Number" ),
"ACT %", FORMAT ( Measure[Sales YoY%], "Percentage" )
)
