Hi All,
I am seeing a strange pattern in Forecast Line chart.
I have created a line chart and with the help of Analytics, I marked "On" the forecast for this particular line chart.
For Random dates i could see that the black line which is indicating the forecast prediction that becomes a straight line.
For some dates it is showing properly and for some dates it is showing a straight line, not sure why.
In Date slicer if i select from 1/1/2023 to 4/27/2023 then it is showing properly. you can see in the below image that the black line which indicates prediction is showing properly.
But when i select in date slicers from 1/1/2023 to 4/26/2023 then the black line shows as a stright line.
Why it is showing straight lines for few dates? why it is showing properly for other dates.
For eg. in April month - for 2,6,8,10,11,12..... it is showing properly.
for 1,3,4,5,7,9......it is showing as straight line.
Please let me know if i am missing anythign or Please correct me if i am doing something wrong.
Thank you in Advance
Prakash
You seem to be hitting the sweetspot between the algorithm recognizing a seasonality in the data , and failing to do so (the latter will result in the straight line).
Overall both forecast ranges agree mostly, so your issue is more cosmetic than anything.
