To The Community,
I've turned over every rock I can find trying to replicate in DAX, a report we have in excel that forecasts future months of data based on the last 6 months of actuals. I need to forecast the monthly values shown below in red based off of the last completed months value plus a growth expectation and then, add again to that value, the fixed growth expectation and so on for the next, future, 6 months. My data structure is simple... Date table that has future dates/months, fact table that has up to the current month.
It's not a cumulative or running total or annualization, but somewhere in between.
I'm embarassed to admit the time I've spent on this researching and trying technique after technique.. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Deve ter uma maneira mais fácil, mas veja se o anexo te ajuda.
Não entendi muito bem a média para dar o valor 50.
Hi, please did you get any help? facing similar issue but on a daily granularity. thanks
@TomMartens , Thanks for reaching out! Below is a OneDrive link to the sample data I put together for the screenshot above in an Excel file. Let me know if that doesn't work.
SampleData.xlsx
Hey @nglenn1 ,
please provide a pbix that contains sample data but still reflects your data model (tables, relationships, calculated columns, and measures). Upload the pbix to OneDrive, google drive, or dropbox and share the link. If you are using Excel to create the sample data instead of the manual input method, share the xlsx as well.
Regards,
Tom
