Hi all,
I have been using a Folder as a source for a spreadsheet for the past number of months and it's been working fine.
The folder is "Isometrics" and it has sub folders called "For Issue", "For Backdradfting" etc etc
It has stopped listing all folders for some reason and only lists one single folder within the file structure = any ideas?
Solved! Go to Solution.
When you have a shortcut to SharePoint on your PC, I assume that in PowerBI file you still directly connect to sharepoint, are you? You can check in in PowerQuery under source step. If it's so, try yo upload Excel directly on SharePoint (don not use your shortcut) and refresh the report. It should work as expected.
If it it's so, most probably there is an issue with your shortcut, which is not syncronyzed anymore with SharePoint or you syncronyzation is turned off. You can delete and create the shortcut again to restore the conneciton.
I hope it helps! Good luck with your work! 🙂

logies - I entered the issue in a rush 😉
The folder is a hsarepoint folder which is added as a shortcut ot my One Drive. For the past 6/8 months I have the root folder "Isometrics" listed as the source and everytime someone adds or removes a file to any of the sub-folders, the excel file updates accordingly. For some reason this ahs stopped working yesterday for everything "except" the folder named "02. For Backdrafting".
I have carried out a test by placing file in the "03. For Issue" folder but power query / excel does not update reflecting these file changes

Hi @BarryFletcher, could you share the more details? Is it a folder on your local PC or online like SharePoint? Do you receive any error message in PowerBI? Please share screenshots so we can help you 🙂
