Flow map Visual

Hi

I have set the visual style to 'Flow'.  I am having an issue where if the origin and the destination is the same country, I am not seeing anything plotted on the map.  Is this a bug?  I was expecting to see a dot, so the user can still hover over and see the values set in the tooltip.  I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
