and My visual in power bi is using a table:

But when I use the filter on the date it doesn't show me the names: mellania and alice.

I would like to your help and suggestion if I can better represent my table. and if there is any possible way to

Also I cannot include the name mellania in the column name because if I change the name of mellania to something, I will have an error while refreshing my excel to power bi.

Hi @unkCandy ,

A slicer will filter values on the row where the selected field is located.

As @ryan_mayu said, it's because mellania  does not have any date.

If you cannot include the name mellania in the column name, you can try two ways.

1, Add "date" in the row of "mellania". But I think what you need is displaying "mellania and alice" whatever date you select in the slicer, isn't it?

2, Therefore, you can change the slicer to "list" and then choose both "blank" and "date" in the slicer as below.

I think so I should redesign the data or always include blank thank you for suggestions

it's because mellania  does not have any date. the date value in the same row is blank.

i think there is something wrong with your data sturction. you need to improve it first.

I am new to PBI, but maybe this will help you: there is an option to show empty values:
