FirstChild.Currentmember

Hi,

I'm getting the following error when I use this expression in a calculated member

Only when I calculate Quarters of an YQM Dimension I use FirstChild.Currentmember in the calculation but I'm getting error.

It's like PowerBI doesn't accept FirstChild as a term.

Hi @panosdi,

Please try to run the MDX query in SSMS firstly. Based on my research, there is a syntax error in your query, you need to use currentmember.firstchild instead.

Based on my test, use currentmember.firstchild in desktop works. You can write the similar query to test on your side as well.

With member Measures.CurrrentMemberFirstChild AS
MemberToStr([Date].[Calendar].currentmember.firstchild)

select {[Measures].[Sales Amount],
Measures.CurrrentMemberFirstChild} on 0,
[Date].[Calendar].[Calendar Year].&[2014] on 1
From [Adventure Works]
