There is a published power bi report, I need to find the source or location of the original power bi desktop report.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Just give one try to download the PBIX from power bi service and open that PBIX file and go to "Edit Queries" Option from Menu bar --> Select Data Source Setting --> Data Sources in Current file. (Screen shot is attached for your reference)

Don't forget to give thumbs up and accept this as a solution if it helped you!!!

Please take a quick glance at newly created dashboards : Restaurant Management Dashboard , HR Analytics Report , Hotel Management Report, Sales Analysis Report , Fortune 500 Companies Analysis , Revenue Tracking Dashboard

Hey @Anonymous ,

you can't.

As the dataset is named by the name of the pbix, you might search for the file "<dataset name>.pbix", but this may be futile.

If you have access to the workspace, and need a "new" instance of the pbix, you can save / export / download the report as pbix:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-export-to-pbix

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Regards,

Tom
