Filters Now Working in PowerBI - Something change? HELP!!!

As seen in the screenshot below, I am filtering values out of my data.  However, when I create a visual, they are still appearing. 

 

What am I missing?

Ah, that's actually kind of funny. Sorry.

 

That filter functionality is not for your visuals, it is only so that you can filter stuff while in the data model to more easily look at your data. To filter in the visual, use the FILTERS area over on the right-hand VISUALIZATIONS pane. Or, use the similar filtering functionality in Power Query and that will exclude those rows from ever getting into your data model.

Thought it was an alternative to PQ, and want to truly exclude so the visual pane was not an option.

Right, so in Power Query, click the same arrow in the column header and you will be presented with an identical filter configuration. Unselect the values you don't want and it will add a step to your query for the filtering of those values. Good to go.
