Filtering query

Hi All

I hope you can help

I would like to make a page which shows information on a particular type of trending data, but also the data in the last week at the same time

From the attached picture - I would like a line chart to show the trend of the data, week by week. But I would like the pie chart to only show the spread from the last week of data.

If I add a relative date filter into the pie chart it shows what I need, but then when you click on a segment to look at the trend of that particular segment I only get a dot (as it only shows the last weeks data point)

Is there a way to use the pie chart to filter the line chart but them them both referencing different relative date periods?

Thanks

Hi

Ah ok, that must be a security setting for my company

I actualy found a way round it, I added a seperate date filter for week commencing, then used the edit interaction function to stop the new filter affecting the line chart.

This made it so I could control the pie chart with a specific weeks data but when I click on the pie chart segment it shows the full trend rather than that specific week

Thanks

@Matt22365,

What result do you want to see in the Line chart when you click on the pie chart to filter the  Line chart ? Please share sample data of your table and post expected result here following the guide in the blog: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490.

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me - Sample data attached. Sample data

Using this data, filtered (as a page filter) for team "A" I would like a pie chart to show the most recent week number split between all 6 status's.

I would also like the line graph to show the trend of data over all weeks.

These 2 sections I can achieve.

The bit I cannot get to work is using the pie chart as a filter. When you click on the segment that reflects the most recent week's P overdue I get a dot, rather than the trend of P overdue over all weeks.

 Thanks for your help

@Matt22365,

I am unable to access the above link as it requires sign-in. In your scenario, how about you add addition week field into X-axis of the Line chart?
