Hi Folks

Ive been meaning to ask for a while.

I have a datasource and there are between 7000-8000 reciords for this particular table. However I ony have 200x records that I use.

Essentually l I have a specific colum called Task Description and if I the task (record in that column)  is called

Treatment Plan-

Then I want to see it. It means im not ingesting thousands of records when I will never use them.

Im sure I can do this as a Transformation step in PBI - I just need some advice.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Regarding your question, You can use Power Query to achieve your needs. Power query is used to clean the data, in which you can apply filters to load your desired data into the semantic model to optimize the size of the semantic model, as follows.

@Anonymous

Indeed I had a play yesterday and I created below.

I guess it wont reduce the time it takes to refresh as the whole data set has to be "scanned" before it can "filter"
