I have User Role data available in a table which looks like this:
| Name | region | team | product | client | |
| abc | abc@xyz.com | Delhi | PD | ||
| abc | abc@xyz.com | Bangalore | PEF | ||
| abc | abc@xyz.com | Bombay | PEF | IJK | |
| def | def@xyz.com | Delhi | |||
| def | def@xyz.com | Bangalore | |||
| ghi | ghi@xyz.com | Chennai | POT |
Blank in a column means ALL possible values (given the values in other columns).
Based on the user who is viewing the Power BI report, I need to filter the main data as per their role. For ex: If user "abc" is viewing the report. The data which should be shown in the report is a union of below 3 queries:
1) region = "Delhi" and team = ALL and product = "PD" and client = ALL
2) region = "Bangalore" and team = ALL and product = "PEF" and client = ALL
3) region = "Bombay" and team = ALL and product = "PEF" and client = "IJK"
I am struggling to achieve this in DAX. What could be the possible solutions?
Hi @stuti ,
So far, to my knowledge, your demands may not be realizable.
