Filter table based on input date/week. (Two different tables in the scope)

Hello,

I have two tables where one is for all the project assigment (columns)  and the status(Rows). The other table is for the Timeplan Project assigment (columns) and the date when the activity is due(rows) for each project. I have a relationship between the tables using Project ID as uniqe identifier.

I need help to impact a visual based on the filterd time from the time table. Please let me know if you need any more information or pictures.

I found an aproach in the web where you can create a calendar table and do a relationship between that and my Timeplan table but the problem is that i have the dates in different columns and you can only have one relationship between tables. Is there som way to go around that?

or is there a way to connect the dates to my status table and then use the calendar table to slice?

Please help

Hi @Gaith47 ,

Now that you have a relationship between the two tables, the table visual is also automatically filtered when you select a date in the slicer.

Are you having trouble filtering your slicers?

Yes, nothing happens when i move the slicerbar. Keep in mind that i have the dates in seperate column for each activity. The column name is common for both tabels and my relationship is based on project ID.

Hi @Gaith47 ,

Can you tell me what is your expected output? By the way, is the time data in the time table continuous?

Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.

Best regards,

Yadong Fang

Hey,

So when a date is selected in the slicer it will only show the task for that due date. The timeplan table has the dates for all the activities and it is the same column name. what do you mean by continuous?Screenshot 2022-09-27 at 10.15.49.png
